Parker James

Entertainer, musician, and vocalist extraordinaire are just a few words to describe the very impressive and uber talented Parker James.

Born and raised in the south, his love for blue-eyed soul music began at an early age and has grown into a career in music spanning over 25 years.

At the age of 15, his musical journey began when he joined alongside his older brother, E.P. “Frog” Richardson, on stage and helping set-up equipment. He soon found himself 19 years old and the youngest singer/front man for The Fabulous Boogie Kings, working alongside G.G. Shinn, Duane Yates, and Jerry LaCroix. Parker recorded 2 albums while in the band. Leading him to record his very own solo album, Simply Parker. Following that he released Louisiana Mardi Gras Gumbo full of favorite Mardi Gras covers and the original "Bourbon Street Balcony". His latest release Home also includes originals written by Parker and a cover of 38 Special’s “Second Chance” that even impressed Jeff Carlisi, the bands guitarist and songs co-writer.

“Outstanding! You sang our song with so much soul and conviction. My hat's off to you my friend. Keep it up...that was great and you owned it.”  - Jeff Carlisi

Parker has shared the stage with many greats such as Dr, John, Percy Sledge, Marcia Ball, Bobby Kimball of The Band Toto, Wayne Toups, and many more. Contact us for more information, check out some of the music here, and be on the lookout for Parker James coming to a town near you.
